There was a large lip where the Supra windshield went. We trimmed it off with
the plasma cutter and angle grinder.

The lip closed off the torque box, so we had to weld it back up. Kemper
Porter had suggested we have lots of clamps on hand; he had remarkable
foresight...

Sticking metal together with lightning!

All the paint has to come off. Air tools help. Then we hit it with the angle
grinder to remove the galvanizing. The zinc from the galvanize process will
make the weld weak, and the fumes from trying to weld the stuff will make you
have to go sit down for a while if you breathe them.

Trimmed, cleaned, welded, cleaned, primed... note omnipresent broom. Did I
mention cleaning? We spent at least half of the time cleaning *something*.
