QOTW:
Heh, I just realised. Doubtless that sometime in 2010
someone will ask the same question about why one would write:
foreach {x y} $xy break
instead of
lassign $xy x y
(and people will inevitably still complain that Tcl
doesn't evolve) slebetman on c.l.t

And always remember -- no one reads messageboxes anyway. They just
click the default. Pat Thoyts

ANN: Coccinella 0.96.0
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.tcl/browse_frm/thread/7441b57194350ce0
Although I don't normally announce my Coccinella application here,
I thought other developers might find useful code. Help yourself.
If you find something useful I can give you any license you want.
Small parts you just steal as is common practice.

s is a beta release of the new 1.2 branch. It includes
lots of bug fixes and new enhancements. This should be a
fairly short beta cycle, so I'm hoping for only a single
beta release before final. Please test thoroughly.
What is it?

Thanks to Arjen Markus for his weekly reports on the Wikis:
A somewhat slow week on the Wiki - but nonetheless, there
are enough pages of interest.
Things about Tk
- An introduction to Tk, not quite finished yet, but it is
a start (and you may want to contribute) -
<http://wiki.tcl.tk/15242>
- Things you can with a table ... create a version of the well-known
"minesweeper" game for instance - <http://wiki.tcl.tk/8918>
- Create a widget in a different style? The example in
<http://wiki.tcl.tk/18188> shows how to build an entry widget
for searching something in "Mac" style.
Things about HTML
- It is easy to generate HTML pages from within a Tcl program ...
<http://wiki.tcl.tk/18187>
- ... but perhaps a template-approach is more suitable for other
users, that is, embed Tcl code in an HTML document. Here is
such an approach: <http://wiki.tcl.tk/18185>
- But of course, you might feel more comfortable still with a
third approach - Ajax. Here is a wrapper for a particular
Ajax library: <http://wiki.tcl.tk/18190>
Things about building things
- Teacup and Teapot are the key terms to retrieve extensions
for the Tcl Extension Archive: teacup is the client program,
teapot is the server. Well, details at: <http://wiki.tcl.tk/17305>
and <http://wiki.tcl.tk/7579>
- An easy way to build your own customised tclkit lite:

Everything Tcl-related you want is probably one or two clicks away in these
pages:

of documents and software with provisions for individuals to
maintain references to their own software:

deli.cio.us presents an intriguing approach to reference commentary.
It already aggregates quite a bit of Tcl intelligence.

Cameron Laird tracks several Tcl/Tk references of interest (but
needs to validate many of the links).

"Yahoo! Groups" archives comp.lang.tcl.announce posts--even
though clta itself is dormant.
