QOTW:
This position is held despite the list receiving not infrequent
messages from experienced Tclers being surprised by some unexpected
behaviour of the interpreter like just recently here:
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.lang.tcl/browse_thread/thread/9266d9e0253b79c0/4ddc78519fdc213c#4ddc78519fdc213c
with other Tclers also puzzling over it and giving
contrary solutions.
I'm very grateful to these Tcl experts who teach so much.

Ken Parker would like to revive VTCL:
There have been alot of updates to the cvs version of VTCL. We would
like input on the project. If you have any suggestions or comments on
the project let us know on sourceforge vtcl.sf.net. I will continue to
poor over any posts, bugs, support request, features that are posted.

Thanks for Arjen Markus for his weekly summary of Wiki action:
Last week's storm that tormented Northern Europe seems to have
been replaced by heavy showers tormenting at least your
chronicler's part of this world. Oh well, we can always warm
ourselves at the Wiki.
For eager programmers
- SimCity remains a nice little game - with a Tcl/Tk GUI, it
seems. Now: can it make it to the "One laptop per child" project?
<http://wiki.tcl.tk/7416>
- Phoning (or rather: using a phone for whatever task you can
put it to) seems to be _the_ thing nowadays. Here is a
new kid on that block: Android - <http://wiki.tcl.tk/20310>
What's in a set of syntactical rules?
- Tcl implemented in JavaScript: <http://wiki.tcl.tk/17972>
- Tcl converted to assembly: <http://wiki.tcl.tk/20286>
- Fortran converted to Tcl: <http://wiki.tcl.tk/20295>
- Let C and Tcl syntax coexist: <http://wiki.tcl.tk/17068>
- From Tcl code to documentation: <http://wiki.tcl.tk/13009>
Last but not least
- Let us have aspect-oriented programming, now that OO is
firmly in the core - <http://wiki.tcl.tk/20308> - "if I
understand what I mean."
- Never was statistics easier: here is yet another collaboration
between languages: R and Tcl combined - <http://wiki.tcl.tk/10619>
- We _are_ part of a secret society and now we have the emblem
to show that to the world! <http://wiki.tcl.tk/20289>
