QOTW: "Tcl ... is by far the most fun language I've ever programmed
in." - Joshua Litt

TclSOAP knows SOAP transport, it knows XML-RPC, and now JSON-RPC as well:

    8.5.3! 8.6.a1!

We still have a lot to learn about how to set limits to the
resources processes consume. Web service, in particular, often
involves masses of anonymous connections that should be handled
faithfully for months on end. One key architectural distinction:
    thread vs. process:

Thanks to Arjen Markus for his weekly summary of Wiki action:
We are at the half of the year, so the holiday season will start
soon, at least here in Europe. Will that influence productivity
  on the Wiki? Who knows!

  Raw power
  - Is Tcl's system of dealing with arithmetic expressions so bad?
It is different than most other languages - wiki.tcl.tk/21269
will probably not end any debate on the subject.

  - Well, the infix package might be of use - wiki.tcl.tk/17040 -
despite its simplistic approach to formulae, you can combine them
    in one Tcl statement.

  - And now that we are dealing with arithmetic, is there any way
a parallel version of Tcl might be useful? Here are a few thoughts
    inspired by Lisp: wiki.tcl.tk/21267

  - But then again, any logician will tell you you need nothing more
than lambda calculus. Whether you believe them or not, have a
look at the update of wiki.tcl.tk/16695

  Visual power
  - Yet another 3D demo of the month. If you have not bookmarked
that Wiki page, here is the URL: wiki.tcl.tk/17771

  - What's in a name? Well, "visual Tcl" can mean quite different
    things ... wiki.tcl.tk/1952

  - A new widget may be very interesting in itself, but then its
use must be clear. To see the tracker widget in action, we can
now look at a simple hexadecimal editor - wiki.tcl.tk/21292

  What power?
  - Find the range of used cells in an Excel sheet? Why, there
    is a simple solution - wiki.tcl.tk/21291

  - Tcl is great at introspection, but a few areas remain
    obscure: wiki.tcl.tk/21294

  - Blog and post to your heart's content: wiki.tcl.tk/21261

Everything Tcl-related you want is probably one or two clicks away in these

needs to validate many of the links).

We're working on more useful archives of past installments. In the
