Cleveland
This is Carroll Shelby's personal Cobra, circa 1973. The car was originally a
'65 289. Shelby had a BOSS 351 installed by Mike McCluskey in Torrance,
California. The Cleveland was set back "about 10%" in the chassis, which
required footwell modification.
Like most of Shelby's personal cars, an automatic transmission, in this case a
C-4. You can't see it in this black and white image, but it was painted
Corvette Targa Blue with a gold stripe instead of the usual Guardsman Blue and
white stripe. The car also had a three-point roll bar and a 200mph Smiths
speedometer.
BOSS 429
MPC had this half-scale car built in 1971 to promote their "Zinger" model
kits. That's a full-size BOSS 429 though.
The model doesn't look too impressed. I agree; the air scoop *is* facing the
wrong way...
FE
Millam Tackitt's 474 FE stroker uses a 427 block, stroked 427 crank, much-
tweaked Edelbrock aluminum heads, and an ultra-rare Mickey Thompson crossram
intake manifold. The distributor had to be extended to clear the intake
manifold. Image: Millam Tackitt
The engine is for Millam's "Mountain Kat" '68 Cougar.

This is a 390 GT engine going into a '64 Ford Fleetside. Image: Millam Tackitt
Racing 427 in a GT-40 Mk IV. Note the plain old stamped-steel "Powered By
FORD" valve covers partially hidden by the 180-degree exhaust system. The
stamped valve covers are lighter than the pretty cast aluminum valve covers.
