Test and install. My first one I did I screwed up the wiring and it was correct on the door but reversed on the master switch. (how I came up with that helpful tip)
if the motor works correct off the door switch but is reversed on the master- swap the green (86) and the blue(85) wires in the above diagram.
if the motor goes the same way on the…[Read more]

Follow this wiring for the motor wiring. Helpful tip is to save the last 2 wires to hook up for the motor to relays wires these reverse polarity so it doesn’t matter if they are “backwards”.
I grabbed the power from the hot wire in each door, the center wire at the window plug.

Reinstall the glass. Now I didn’t take any pics of the wiring but I mounted both relays to the inside of the removable panel (were the wires come out).

After looking at it I think it’s a before weld pic. But anyway paint it, grease it and final install of the motor including spring tension.

This next step is probable optional especially if you don’t have a welder. I welded up the relief cuts. This pic is like mid weld too.

So a lot happened between these pics sorry. But you can see the section that was removed for the motor clearance. Then new holes drilled for the new mounting of the motor.

You’ll notice the new motor has a clearance issue with the regulator and it’s gonna need to be cut up a bit. (Tyler mentioned that no cutting was needed when he did his, I could not locate a motor position that would fit without cutting.)

Step 4 release the spring tension and make note of how the spring is installed for reassembly.

3b is just the back side and also shows that if in the same orientation the new motor that is smaller should not have any issues with clearance.

Step 3 is to note and mark up the regulator on the motor alignment.

And it looks as if I can only upload 1 image at at time so I’ll just continue each step a new post.
Step 1 remove door panel. (I didn’t realize the camera setting so the first couple are B&W)

Alright we’ll see how well this works.
First off credit to Tyler Nixon for spending the time to find a motor that will work for our cars.
Then parts list.
