HowieParticipantMan that’s beautiful.
Thanks Jeremy, it was a 3 years build
We powder coated as many pieces we could, all the front suspension, trans mount ,valve covers, trans pan ,oil pan ,brackets and even the drive shaft
We cleaned all the parts and blasted them ourselves at home and made good use of the powder coating kit .Even built our own powder coat ovenJanuary 13, 2015 at 10:31 am #385January 13, 2015 at 10:28 am #382
HowieParticipantNice work!
Thanks Jeremy, these LCC’s are a challenge
The next step was to get the car running and rolling and then back to the body shop for final paint.

HowieParticipantThe car has been completed for about 3 years now ,just thought I’d put a few pics of the build up here to help get things going in this section
Got the undercarriage completely stripped and put into epoxy primer
Really strange that the only real issue was some rust pinholes in the front crossmember which is the heaviest steel in the car. It was cut out and replaced.
Floors were so nice that you could even see the marks where the factory welders stuck their welding arcsAttachments:

HowieParticipantThanks for starting this site, it should be fun
I’ve loved these cars for years
My Dad has a kustom 62 LCC and we have a hardtop that is sitting and waiting to be built.
We’re in the middle of building a 56 Continental MK II convertible right now, so the 62 hardtop will have to wait a while.
