Anyone have any knowledge of a conversion kit for the crank driven power steering pump .
-
Which engine? 430/462 or 460?
-
429
-
If you want to ditch the crank mounted pump you’ll need the timing cover, balancer spacer, and power steering brackets & pump off a 429/460 with a standard style pump.
And don’t toss the old pieces, someone will want your old parts for cores.
-
So I get those part for a 1968 , 429 or 460 ? What years will fit I guess is what I’m asking ?
-
68 – up Thunderbird/Mercury 429 or pretty much anything 1970 through 1978 with either a 429 or 460. Don’t get parts from a 1979 or newer 460 as they changed the balance on the rotating assembly.
