The accelerator pedal on my 1965 Lincoln sticks in full speed position if I touch it too hard. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks!
Two things you should look at :
1.) The throttle return spring. Make sure it’s not too weak and replace or add an additional spring if necessary.
2.) Motor mount(s) – especially the drivers side mount. If it’s bad under hard acceleration the engine can lift enough that the throttle will hang.
