WesKeymasterWelcome everyone. Feel free to say hi, give some info, and start blowing this page up. Would be great to start topics and forums over all things us non-purist degenerates are into. Tech, how too’s, bags, motor swaps, build pages and other degenerative lifestyle choices involving our Slab Sides. So spread the word, add your posts, share some pics. and lets lay some slab.

HowieParticipantThanks for starting this site, it should be fun
I’ve loved these cars for years
My Dad has a kustom 62 LCC and we have a hardtop that is sitting and waiting to be built.
We’re in the middle of building a 56 Continental MK II convertible right now, so the 62 hardtop will have to wait a while.

WesKeymasterGlad to have ya Howie. I hope once everyone starts posting in here that his is a great place for us to hang out and enjoy our rides..

NicParticipantWhats up fellas!
I currently own a 1967 convertible. It was my Grandmothers that passed a few months ago. She was the original owner and it only has
83000 miles on it. I plan on customizing it fully, Wheels, Paint & body and then Bagging her. I currently don’t do facebook but I have an instagram account. So hopefully if there are any cruises you guys can post them here as well. Reside in South OC CaliThanks for the website!

JeremyKeymasterHey Nic! Welcome to the site! That 67 convert sounds like a sweet project, feel free to start a build thread here and post your progress.
I personally don’t do Instagram, but one of the other guys runs one geared towards our cars. You can find it at http://instagram.com/suicide_slabs/ There’s also a link to it at the bottom of the page.
As far as cruises go I’ll see if I can get a thread going here info on when they’re scheduled.

IanParticipantbefore i go any farther just to be clear is this site gunna be tied with the lincolnforum.net site ?..
if so ill step back out right now…
i want nothing to do with the people that run that site.
but if this is a stand alone site run by people with a open mind then im all game.
ps love the site icon that suicide slabs with the matching door handles is brilliant

JeremyKeymasterThis site is in no way tied to thelincolnforum.net. There might be some members here who are also members there. I’m not a member there, at least that I can recall.
This site is totally intended for open minded people. Most of us like to customize/restomod our rides and this site is aimed at just that. Of course purists are welcome but talking smack about someones choice in wheels, drivetrain, or other modifications will not be tolerated.

IanParticipantok cool…
sounds good.
i have nothing against members over on that site, just the nazi who runs it.
but that enuf of that old drama..
i’ll try to make a personal build page for my 68 suicide. but my old site that hosted the pics is down as the web demand got outa control. i had a 1000 pics and his net traffic was going ballistic for the photos..
anyone know of a website that does picture hosting ? i dont have facebook or twitter or any of that garbage.. so all the photos i have of my rebuild are stored on my local machine here atm.

JeremyKeymasterI don’t know anything about that forum, but I know that some of them don’t like anything but 100 percent original cars. Some of the Facebook groups are the same way and that’s how this site and the FB group came about.
Photobucket and Flickr can host your images, and you can also host them here. I just installed a site wide photo gallery late last night. It’s working so far although it does glitch a bit on mobile devices. As long as you’re on a computer it should be fairly simple. I’ll write up a little thing on how to do create a gallery in a few minutes.
There’s no worrying about paying for bandwidth or file storage here, it’s unlimited. Though if the site does start to get a bunch of traffic there’s apt to be slowdowns in site performance. I’ll cross that bridge when I get there and look for a faster server.
