Seems pretty quite here so I’ll help get things rolling
Here’s some pics from my Dad’s 62 build
First pic is what we started with
Dad actually bought the car from Chris Dunn at Lincoln Land
Chris said he bought it to part out but when he got it back to the shop he found it in too nice of shape to do that.
Second pic is after teardown and removing all the undercoat by hand ,now ready to be blasted.
We built the rotisserie too.The car has been completed for about 3 years now ,just thought I’d put a few pics of the build up here to help get things going in this section
Got the undercarriage completely stripped and put into epoxy primer
Really strange that the only real issue was some rust pinholes in the front crossmember which is the heaviest steel in the car. It was cut out and replaced.
Floors were so nice that you could even see the marks where the factory welders stuck their welding arcsVery cool man. looking forward to seeing more.. I love build forums.

SuicideSlabs4LifePainted the undercarriage and the interior of the shell so we could start some reassembly
Powder coated the suspension and a bunch of other parts .I bought the Eastwood powder coat system and made an oven .The Eastwood Powder Coating system works well. I used it to do a much of misc. bracketry and other things on my old 64 Galaxie. It held up well, I even used it to do all my engine pulleys.
Their chrome coat is pretty sweet too. I did a valve cover for one of my other cars and it’s damn near chrome-like.
Resistance is Futile.
Put the suspension etc back in to make it a roller before final paint
Also put a matting down on the floors etcNice work!

The next step was to get the car running and rolling and then back to the body shop for final paint.

We powder coated as many pieces we could, all the front suspension, trans mount ,valve covers, trans pan ,oil pan ,brackets and even the drive shaft
We cleaned all the parts and blasted them ourselves at home and made good use of the powder coating kit .Even built our own powder coat oven
