    Hi guys,

    I was hoping some of you could give me some insight and specs on wheels and tire sizes.  My 65′ convertible is stock right now, and sits way too high in my opinion.

    I’ve seen some posts of members on Instagram running big wheels, my question(s) are;

    1. Do these cars accommodate a 20″wheel better than a 22″ wheel? What tire sizes and back spacing is the norm to be able to turn knuckle to knuckle on a bagged setup???  I’m planning to upgrade the new shoes in the next couple weeks, and am looking at installing air ride.

    I’m sure the obvious consensus is that 20’s will offer a better ride quality, but is there that much of a difference?

    Some of you might know the car, it was previously owned by Adam Levine.

    Any help and info is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

    I am considering the same thing for my 63. I have been communicating with Colorado custom wheels to make replicas of the stock hub cap in a wheel. He says either size works. He can send you a template to measure your car to know for sure. I plan to still do stock looking white walls so I’m leaning towards 20’s. I’m curious what you select and how it looks.
