<p>So the motor ended up being fine. Long story short I installed the torque converter incorrectly. The plugs were not going thru the openings on the flex plate correctly. Nothing got damaged but having the motor ripped apart gave me the opportunity to get it cleaned up more. During my clean-up of the 462 and taking it to shows etc. water got on the valley pan and ended up making it&#8217;s way down the back center bolt, which I didn&#8217;t have totally bolted down. <p>I used a Ron Francis Wiring stud and placed it near the wiring harness. This will be used for the stereo power wire etc. I ran the power to it for the ViAir compressors and AccuAir air mgmt system.</p>

I don&#8217;t think mine was really in that good because in the 70s or 80s it seems like they redid the vinyl top on this car. Mine seemed to come right off. I did have the glass taken out, as you may recall, and recently had it glued back in place for the time being.</p>

Looks like I need a couple of springs and some stainless steel screws (for the headlight bezels). Also, the passenger outside headlight probably needs a new headlight bezel. The steering column wiring is wrapped up (except the horn, which I still need to run a wire for it) including the hazards. The Ron Francis Wiring is making the job a piece of cake! Very happy thus far with the outcome. I also started mocking up the front grill support and headlight brackets.
