So the motor ended up being fine. Long story short I installed the torque converter incorrectly. The plugs were not going thru the openings on the flex plate correctly. I did some work to clean up the wiring behind the dash I had ran previously. I tend to leave too much excess “just in case” which is always too much.

Got the headlight brackets all mocked up to see what parts I’m still missing. Looks like I need a couple of springs and some stainless steel screws (for the headlight bezels).
