JeremyKeymasterWhen you say hard to start do you mean it turns over slowly? Slow to fire off? It could be several things as these cars are rather finicky. Make sure all your power and ground cables are in good shape, that you’ve got the proper 3 port fuel pump with return line and pump heat shield (provided you’ve still got the 462 MEL engine) or an electric fuel pump upgrade.
Often the correct 3 port fuel pump is the issue. Parts stores don’t have the correct one, it’s a two port and a cobbled together return or no return feed at all. Finding a rebuilt correct OEM pump solves the hot fuel boil off/vapor lock problem these cars are plagued with.
Also make sure the fan clutch is in good shape, the radiator is flowing well, the radiator shroud is intact, and the timing is set properly.
Good luck!!

JeremyKeymasterNo aftermarket parts out there as far as floor pans, you’ll have to get them from a donor car. Definitely contact Mario – he can be reached at 760-646-7996 or email [email protected]

JeremyKeymasterYeah you don’t necessarily need the ones above the rear axle. I’ve previously had 5 Lincolns and I just ran mufflers at the rear tucked up into that quarter panel area. It’ll be louder than stock depending on what muffler you run, but even with glass packs on my old 65 it wasn’t too loud.

JeremyKeymasterYou can email [email protected] and he can rebuild your switches if they aren’t too badly damaged.
Also, Mario the Lincoln guy out in California might have switches. 760-646-7996 or you can email him at [email protected]
In the off chance neither of those two can help you Baker’s Auto might have them. http://www.bakersauto.com/ Or Lincoln Land, Inc. http://www.lincolnlandinc.com/
